Calcite is used for demineralization correction, acidity neutralization, and carbon dioxide binding. It can raise water pH by 1.0–1.5 units, thereby reducing the aggressive effect of acidic water on metal pipes and equipment and extending the service life of engineering systems. ASV Ultra is a sorption media based on natural aluminosilicates, designed for water treatment plants serving industrial, municipal, and utility applications. Unlike classical filter media used for iron removal or pH correction, ASV Ultra is designed for a different purpose: it works as a sorbent for treatment facilities where complex man-made contaminants must be removed from water. The material combines sorption and ion-exchange properties, has a developed porous structure, and offers high dynamic capacity for petroleum products, making it suitable for facilities with variable and difficult wastewater composition.

One of the distinguishing features of the product is its supply format. ASV Ultra is supplied as dry granules packed into special water-permeable nonwoven bags, which are loaded into the filter in bulk. This greatly simplifies loading, unloading, and replacement of the sorbent on site, and reduces the need for mechanized handling. This format is especially convenient for local treatment plants, stormwater systems, and industrial sites where ease of maintenance matters.

The material combines both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties, which allows it to work effectively against different classes of contaminants.
